Deja Vu

It was a full weekend, and boy do we have pictures. Lot’s of them. But strangely enough, none from Sunday when my blog buddy, Lorna, and her marital buddy, Dave, left the friendly confines of the city to visit with us smalltownies.

We had a fine visit, of which I shall spare you the rehash. But I do want to open the window unto a wee portion of our day.

We took a long drive to a far away studio tour, mostly to pay a visit to Cuppa’s favourite jewelry designer. Cuppa usually navigates me very well when we do this tour, and I need her help because even though we’ve done it a few times, when visits are six months to a year apart, the nuances of the route soon fade into the mists.

The thing is that we can’t even get the destination into our GPS, no matter what we have tried. Dave also gave it a valiant but futile attempt on Sunday. The place simply doesn’t exist, except we manage to find it anyway.

On the way there, I was able to point out the Senators (our hockey team) practice facilities.

On the way back, I was also able to point them out โ€” as it turned out, from the same direction as the morning.

Yup: I don’t know how I managed it, but I had the car heading back in the direction of the tour โ€” in the opposite direction from home.

Talk about deja vu all over again.

Let it never be said that AC doesn’t know how to impress his guests.

  1. AC, perhaps the GPS did not want to go to Cuppa’s favorite destination and had other plans ๐Ÿ™‚ SOmetimes electronic devices can be rather frustrating. We have to make alterations to routes in ours more often than not. Because of holiday travel we are a bit behind in posting and blog reading, but I did enjoy the beard history in your recent post. Any photos without one?

  2. We’ve tried several GPS systems and have found TomTom can find our way out of a paper bag! Love it!

Hopefully you at least had good conversation or something to occupy you on your road trip. What else did you do this weekend??

Were we lost? Cuppa and I in the back seat, eating the timbits, drinking the coffee and talking up a storm weren’t aware of it.
