The Niagara Parkway

Cuppa and I hit the Niagara Falls area on our first anniversary and our thirty-fifth. Knowing that we’d be in the general area, we decided to have one more and likely our final look. Our main intent was not to visit The Falls (done that many times) but to drive down the Niagara Parkway to see the spring blooms. When we last visited at this time of year, the lilacs were in full flower. Due to the weather, they hadn’t reached their peak this time around, but they were still more advanced than they are locally.

Among the Lilacs

I took quite a few pictures of Cuppa taking close up pictures.

A Flowery Weekend

Not a bad composition but the lighting was tough.

A Flowery Weekend

They weren't lilacs, but I really like this photo.

A Flowery Weekend

These are the flowers that Cuppa was looking at in the previous photo. I don't know what they are, but they're pretty.

A Flowery Weekend

Cuppa didn't choose this dress to resemble a bride, but she kinda did on our anniversary weekend.

A Flowery Weekend

Tulips and a flowering tree. Just ignore the power lines.

The Niagara Parkway between Niagara on the lake and the falls is my favourite road in the province. The blossoms are late this year, as we usually go there for Mothers Day (my request). It is also lovely in the fall. Your pictures are beautiful.

  2. Azalias….And they are Gorgeous!

What beautiful pictures and cuppa does look like a bride!……:-)Hugs

  4. Looks like a lovely day and those mystery flowers are not azaelas, but rhododendrums (spelling). They come in a variety of colors and have those large waxy like foliage. Not sure which beauties you enjoyed most the flowers or cuppa. Easy to see you are both as much in love as on your wedding day – how wonderful!
