Pictoral Melange

From ghost towns to wolves, BILs, grandchildren, hats and cats, we have a melange of pictures today.

Abandonment

For Sale: a former party place in the pioneer days of Brudenell in the late 1800s. The Costello Hotel was somewhat notorious as a haven for gamers and loose women back then. It had a For Sale sign when I last checked over a decade ago, and you can own this piece of history for $69 000. In fact, I'll bet you could drive down the list price by quite a bit. Brudenell fell into "ghostliness" after the railroad bypassed it in 1893.

The Man, His Barn, and His Camera

My BIL is home from surgery and seems to be on the road to recovery.

A Look Inside

A further look inside Brian's barn.

Let's Howl

It's Friday so let's have a good ole howl. Cuppa took this at Algonquin Park last month.

Here is The Little Fella wearing the Big Fella's hat. It looks better on him.

Does he look like a rapper? Please, Zach: I'm too old.

He's learned to be kind and gentle with old Asha, who is quite patient and phlegmatic about it all.

Always hold hands in the parking lot, Buppa.

Two of these photos just bowled me over – the BIL at the edge of the barn, and the grandson with your hat rapper style. You are a marvellous photographer!
Mind you, having a subject like Sach doesn’t hurt.

I love the old hotel. It looks is fairly good shape.

Did you go on a real wolf howl in Algonquin Park. I can do that off my front porch.

What a cute lad. They are good time when they are that age. As a single parent with a wee son I have fond memories of many good times together.

You know I am quite partial to cat pictures, but add a little tyke to them and they become absolutely adorable! And the ones with the hat are just priceless.

  4. If I was smart, I’d buy the old place! Love stuff like that!

That hotel looks interesting and habitable with a little work. Your grandson would look cute in any hat.

Another fine collection. The hotel is of course intriguing. I love the b&w image of your BIL and the textures inside the barn. Then of course there’s the tenderness of the last two images.. just beautiful.
