Old Snaps

I figure it would be a good idea for me to stay away from old photos scattered here and there throughout the premises because when I look for one thing, I find many more. And then I can’t help myself from posting them here, thinking that at least some family and friends might want to have a peek. But then there’s the rest of you to consider. So, as far as I know this will be the last batch for now.

My Rocky Bum

Christmas 1994. I was resting my back for that was the year that I had a major incident with my discs. Thesha brought kitten Rocky over at Christmas so he wouldn't be alone and lonely for Christmas. Cuppa couldn't resist taking this picture of this odd perch he had chosen. Little did I know then that he would later become my cat and that he would be my best cat. Was it almost a year ago that we said goodbye and I wrote that tear-jerker, Bye Buddy? http://anvilcloud.blogspot.com/2010/03/bye-buddy.html

AC and Cuppa

Found with the previous photo is this one of Cuppa and me. I assume it's a few years before that one because I seemed to have more hair. Perhaps around 1990?

Mom and Dad

Whether this was also 1994 or not, it was definitely Christmas and probably around the early to mid nineties.

Mom

My mother: I am thinking that she was around 80 years of age in the later 1990s.

Linette is like Rocky: she is forever sleeping on my back (although mostly when I’m in bed). For some reason she loves it there. Don’t quite see the attraction myself…

Our late lamented cat used to sleep on my chest, as close to my face as possible, her face towards my f eet. It was delightful.

I do like seeing those pictures, although I’m always shocked to see how dark cuppa’s hair was. I guess I thought she was born platinum.

AC, Lovely photos. It’s nice to look through old photographs and reminisce about bygone days. Thanks for sharing these with us. Your mother is beautiful in this photo.

So far the squirrels have not been able to access the suet. Hope that continues.

    Blessings,
    Mary

Your mother is beautiful in these photos – and in spite of the interference of the beard, I think I see you smiling her smile.

A really lovely photo of your mother.
Those back extension exercises are really supposed to work for disc problems 🙂
